Its Sunday morning at the Eisteddfod Maes and its packed.
More than 2,000 people were in the main pavilion this morning all dressed in their Sunday best for the traditional morning service.
It is not a scene repeated often in Welsh chapels and churches and its fair to say that most of the service goers were of mature years. One retired minister of religion commented "if we could instill this sort of enthusiasm we'd be packed to the rafters every week".
The service was followed by hundreds of tiny tots taking part in the relatively new Nursery School pageant. Singing traditional folk songs with gusto that was a sight to gladden the hearts. The audience was largely the same however and it was good to see both generations alongside each other enjoying the unique atmosphere in the pavilion.
Outside crowds are milluing around the various stands enjoying the warn sunshine.
Eisteddfod organisers are concerned at the risk of sunburn and are handing out suncream at the entrances. One journalist, perhaps blinded by the unaccustomed sight of the sun this summer, thought it was an energy drink and very nearly put the sachet to his lips. Luckily he realised his error just in time!
