Bacon sarnies

Posted by Eryl Crump on August 6, 2007 9:18 AM |

Parking the car at the Eisteddfod and the smell of frying bacon filled the air.

The car park is close to one of the numerous catering areas and the early arrivals were being drawn into the Maes by the delicious smell wafting in the air. Despite the need to get into the pressroom to carry out urgent preparation work the temptation was too much and a bacon and egg roll was enjoyed along with a mug of steaming tea.

Making my way to the pressroom I noticed one of the hard-working Eisteddfod staff getting herself ready for the day ahead. Using an electric hair dryer at the workplace must be some sort of record!

To use a horse racing term the car parks today are good to soft while the going is a little firmer on the Maes itself. I'm all ready for the off.
